Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE DeMar DeRozan
Nike added a new colorway to the Famous Kobe 5 Protro Collection with the Nike Kobe 5 Protro Heart. Demar Derozan gave us a first look at the Heart colorway when he debuted them on court earlier in the 2019-2020 NBA season.
The Kobe 5 Protro Heart, also known as the Kobe 5 Protro PE Zebra, features a white and light grey zebra-printed Flywire upper with warped checkerboard patterned overlays and black Swoosh. Swooshes are heat-pressed on in jet black, with a touch of iridescent gray appearing behind the black sheath logo on the tongue. Black collar trim and black heel pieces with Kobe Bryant’s signature completes the top half. Moving down to the lower regions, light gray midsoles are made of soft EVA foam and contain twice as much Zoom Air cushioning as the original Kobe 5 from 2009.
Black detailing on the tongue, interior, and heel tab along with a white sole complete the design. These sneakers released in September of 2020 and retailed for $180. A very nice shoe for your collection, everyone must have a Kobe shoe.
Demar DeRozan is one of the torch bearers for Nike Basketball's Kobe Bryant line, and the San Antonio's Spurs guard/forward’s latest Mamba-themed release is a Kobe 5 Protro “Zebra."
The “Zebra” mixes a simple color palette with bold printed details for a stylish monochromatic look. DeRozan transferred recently to the Chicago Bulls but played 3 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.
